Overview
VSolaris is a full-stack e-commerce platform for the solar energy industry. People can browse renewable energy products and accessories, order them and manage their purchases in one place.
What I built
I built the storefront with Next.js 14, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, using shadcn/ui components for a consistent, responsive interface. The backend runs on Node.js and Express, with Prisma talking to MongoDB for products, orders and users.
- Product catalogue and shopping cart with secure checkout through Paystack.
- Order and inventory management through an admin dashboard.
- A blog for educational content on solar technology and sustainability.
- Sign-in with JWT, Google OAuth and email verification, plus Cloudinary for image uploads.
Outcome
The result is a fast, SEO-friendly store that makes renewable energy products easier to find and buy.
